WBDS One Acts - the end of a fantastic year

Well, the One Acts are the last performances from WBDS for this season.

It has been a great year; 3 main shows, lots of awards from NANDA, and interesting Tuesday evenings to keep us all going.

As for the One Acts, a short review:

Dead Nice - beautifully portrayed, well staged, and good use of lighting. Well done Sue and Clare.

As the Cookie Krumbles - brought an insight into life in Africa for Europeans - a monologue with different characters and different settings. Excellent little production, good use of props and lighting for the sunset brought real emotion.

George, Don't Do That - from the moment Isi walks in the door in her tweed two piece, you are transformed to a primary school. The names may have changed, but the language and behaviour is the same today. Brilliant.

And Curses, Foiled Again. Well, hilarious all the way through. The highlights are Nurse and Jasper fighting over the poisoned Madeira, Nurse's death, and the dog "woof". A great night out, and if you are reading this after Saturday 10th July, too late to see. If not, try and get to it.

Bring on the party, and well done on an excellent ending to the season.
