Description:
Entry to Bestwood Country Park is free.
This 650 acre park has an incredible variety of different wildlife habitats and lots of open green space to enjoy. There are miles of paths to explore.
From Mill Lakes, teeming with water birds, to meadows full of wildflowers, from ancient oak woodland to a reclaimed pit tip, Bestwood has a landscape which reflects the varied history of Nottinghamshire itself.
School, faith and community groups are welcome at Bestwood, and the park’s mission is to make the countryside accessible to all. Our ranger team work regularly with all kinds of groups, ranging from autistic adults and people with mental health problems to disadvantaged teenagers at risk of exclusion from school.
Ring the park rangers to find out more about our programme of health walks, team building activities, school age environmental education and more. We also welcome volunteers, who can take part in a variety of conservation tasks alongside our park rangers. Give us a call if you'd like to find out more tel: 0115 9273674.
