Experian announced plans for 80 job losses in Nottingham as part of its strategic initiatives.

Consultations with staff began last week about plans to cut up to 130 roles across the UK and Ireland, 80 of them in Nottingham.

Experian is one of Nottingham biggest employers with multiple sites across the city.

Experian is the leading global information services company, providing data and analytical tools to clients in more than 65 countries.

In a statement, the company said: "We are realigning certain areas of our business to better support the company's UK and Ireland strategic initiatives.

"As a result, some roles will no longer be needed.

"We regret all job losses and people affected will receive support, including access to professional outplacement services. We will also retrain and redeploy people within the business where possible."
