The sixth form block at Arnold Hill School in Nottingham has been damaged by fire.
An investigation is currently under way into how the fire at Arnold Hill School, Gelding Road, Arnold, started at 11:30pm on Wednesday.
Eight fire crews spent six hours tackling the fire but the sixth form block has been completly destroyed by the blaze.
The school is closed to years 7, 8 and 9. Sixth form students and year 10 and 11 are advised to go into school as normal.
Update
Temporary class rooms have been put in place and the school is expected to reopen fully by Tuesday.
