Nottingham’s City Pulse Music Festival returns this bank holiday weekend.
City Pulse, the free music festival arrives begins in Nottingham on Saturday 29th May 2010. The free music festival will bring a variety of music to Nottingham and aims to be a festival for the whole family over the bank holiday weekend.
Events will take place across Nottingham city centre with the Market Square playing host to the main stage.
On Saturday 29th There will be a Rock’n’Roll Disco in The market square starting at 12:30pm and finishing late in the evening. Guest artists will include; Matchbox, Glen Darren and the Krew Kats, The Jets, Boney M and The Real Thing.
On Sunday 30th There will be an afternoon of Rhythm and Blues and the return of the Joe Loss Orchestra at around 7:00pm at the Market Square. Guests include the likes of Imelda May, Dr Feelgood, and the much requested return to City Pulse of Todd Miller and the Joe Loss Orchestra, stars of last year with their eclectic mix of popular tunes.
On Bank Holiday Monday There will an afternoon of British classics such as Beatles Tribute band The Fab4 playing from 12:30pm on The Market Square, 60’s pop classics at 2:00pm from The New Amen Corner and ending with Animals and Friends playing classics like ‘House of the rising sun’ from 4:45pm.

The Ballroom Marquee will be at the Robin Hood Statue, giving our legendary folk hero a chance to dance with you to a mix of salsa, tango, swing and big band.
Arboretum Records at Trinity Square
New for this year is an additional venue on Bank Holiday Monday for Nottingham's own Arboretum Records, promising some of the fantastic acts the city has to offer.
