Nottingham City Council has recently given planning permission for a 65-bedroom hotel, which will be built on the site of Catherine House in Woolpack Lane creating new jobs in Nottingham.
Now Castle Rock Brewery is looking to raise £600,000 via an Enterprise Investment Scheme in order to create new pub jobs by transforming a run-down working men's club into a high-spec bar.
A limited company is to be created, offering 120 shares at £5,000 each to raise the money needed to buy and redevelop the unnamed site.
Chris Holmes the chairman of Castle Rock, said in a statement that he hopes to start work on the former British Legion venue over the next six weeks, and hopes to create a community friendly, female friendly and foody pub.
