Description:
Two of the sixteen candidates on The Apprentice 2010 have links with Nottingham.
Sandeesh Samra, a 26 year old recruitment consultant was born and raised in Nottingham. She believes that repeat business is the key to success and that too many companies fail because they focus on short term profits. Looking after existing customers is something Sandeesh takes very seriously.
She began work as a sales assistant for Toys R Us and then moved on to become a recruitment consultant. One of her biggest achievements was breaking the company revenue record.
She says she wishes she had been the brains behind internet superpowers Google and Facebook.
Ambitious and opinionated, she is quoted as saying “Whatever I say I think I back up well. I don't say things for the sake of saying them.”
Another of the sixteen hopefuls on The Apprentice 2010 with links back to Nottingham is 24 year old investment banker, Chris Bates. Chris worked for leading investment bank JP Morgan after graduating from Nottingham University with 1st class honours. Not quite as prestigious, Chris has also worked in an off licence and a pub.
Chris is an avid believer that successful business comes down to getting the basics spot on. Getting the simple things right should help yield rewards. Chris also enjoys playing rugby and scuba diving in his spare time.
The Apprentice 2010 is shown on BBC One, and begins on Wednesday the 6th of October at 9PM.
