Pretty Orchid is a family owned Thai restaurant and has been serving authentic Thai and Malaysian cuisine here since 1991. One of the few traditional Thai restaurants in Nottingham, Pretty Orchid has a vibrant and inviting atmosphere with great service so you immediately feel welcome and start to relax.
The set menus make it easy for you to explore the delicious range of dishes available and friendly staff are happy to help you make a selection if you are unfamiliar with Thai food. There are plenty of seafood and vegetarian options on the menu too. The gourmet set menu of 15 courses is a fine adventure through the flavours of the East and should be pre-booked, so that it can be specially prepared for you.
C.Y Choong the owner of Pretty Orchid is also a remarkable artist and his artwork is displayed on the exposed brick walls, so not can you enjoy superb Thai cuisine, customers are able to enjoy the interesting array of artwork that surrounds them, a feast for the eyes!
Signature dishes include: Salmon miso, salmon spread with miso paste and gently cooked with seven spices; Malaysian Chilli King Prawns; Weeping Tiger, sirloin steak in tamarind sauce; Rendang, a hot beef curry in reduced sauce with coconut and aromatic spices; Ginger Duck, slices of duck simmered with shitake mushrooms, onions, rice wine and lots of ginger.
