Yamas means ‘cheers’ in Greek, and there’s an air of celebration here that’s hard to ignore. Owned by brothers George and Michael Ktori, their good humour is infectious and their team of staff will do all they can to make you feel at home – you’ll be recalling holidays past in no time.

Freshly prepared dishes are the order of the day at Yamas, with mouth-watering meze, tempting tapas and sharing starters. The best way to enjoy meze is to call upon a few friends, order a selection of dishes (and plenty of Retsina) and let the fun commence. Set over two floors, this cosy restaurant provides the ideal surroundings for a good old get-together.

There is a wide choice of freshly prepared dishes: you might choose to start with the typical Greek dips of houmous and tzatziki with pita and then move on to a dish of prawns in garlic and herbs, followed by some tender souvlakia, chargrilled skewers and carry on tasting a variety of flavours throughout the evening.

Yamas serves their Tapas and Meze throughout the day from lunch onwards and makes a great stop off for just a light meal or snack as well as a fantastic evening meal. Take a look at the menu.

Signature dishes include: spanakopitta, spinach and feta cheese wrapped in filo pastry; gambas ajillo, garlic prawns with lemon and herbs; chicken souvlakia, tender meat grilled on skewers; keftethes, greek style meatballs.
